About Me

photo Jennie Freeland is a wife and mother raised in the Chicagoland area and transplanted to Indiana in the year 2000 working with both individuals and families in a private practice in Plainfield, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a BA double major in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Human Sexuality, a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology -Community Mental Health with a minor in Human Development, and an Education Specialization degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has worked in residential, outpatient, and school based settings with clients of all ages, but has primarily focused on Adolescents and Young adults ages 12-25. Jennie knows this is often a difficult but very important time full of transitions. Jennie has a great deal of experience working with severe trauma as well as managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or dual diagnosis with substance use disorders. For Jennie, the most rewarding part of this career has been the ability to see the insight people get when they make connections about themselves and their lives. She loves history and enjoys dancing, swimming, reading, the theatre, and board games in her limited free time.
